[ME5024] iSCSI Configuration
Hi Experts ! I have a problem that I can not understand, I have a ME5024 connected to my 2 ESX in iSCSI direct-attach 25G in this configuration:
ME5024 A0 --> ESX01 P1
ME5024 A1 --> ESX02 P1
ME5024 B0 --> ESX01 P2
ME5024 B1 --> ESX02 P2
For the IPs, we have :
ME5024 A0 : 192.168.1.1/29 <--> ESX01 P1 (vmk iSCSI01) : 192.168.1.4/29
ME5024 A1: 192.168.2.1/29 <--> ESX02 P1 (vmk iSCSI01): 192.168.2.4/29
ME5024 B0 : 192.168.1.2/29 <--> ESX01 P2(vmk iSCSI02) : 192.168.1.5/29
ME5024 B1 : 192.168.2.2/29 <--> ESX02 P2(vmk iSCSI02) : 192.168.2.5/29
But once on the interface of my storage array, it was impossible to create an initiator host :
Although (I think) my configuration is good.
Thanks in advance.
Regards.

Hello AbdelO93,
I'll note we don't usually do initial configuration. We have Deployment Services you can contract if needed.
I will try to provide some information for you.
The Best Practice documentation may help:
Dell PowerVault ME5 Series: VMware vSphere Best Practices
https://dell.to/3XUKJTT
You cannot add the host until the storage can see the host - you have to setup ESX side settings before the storage can see the host.
Another note, if I am reading this right it looks like server ESX01 has both initiators on 192.168.1.x and ESX02 has both on 192.168.2.x. Both servers should have one interface on each of the two subnets.
I hope this helps and you may consider Deployment Services if needed.
