MD3220i, ME4024 and best practices
Good afternoon,
I've been reading conflicting information, and I can't seem to decide if I have things setup properly or not.
We have a MD3220i (2 controllers, 4 NIC per controller). We also have a ME4024 with the same Controller and NIC Count. We have 2 PowerConnect switches. Here's how I have everything addressed and cabled.
Does this seem ok, or is there a better method to get better performance?
MD3220i
Controller 0 - NIC 0: 192.168.130.16 -> switch 1
Controller 0 - NIC 1: 192.168.130.17 -> switch 1
Controller 0 - NIC 2: 192.168.131.16 -> switch 2
Controller 0 - NIC 3: 192.168.131.17 -> switch 2
Controller 1 - NIC 0: 192.168.130.18 -> switch 1
Controller 1 - NIC 1: 192.168.130.19 -> switch 1
Controller 2 - NIC 2: 192.168.131.18 -> switch 2
Controller 3 - NIC 3: 192.168.131.19 - > switch 2
ME4024
Controller 0 - NIC 0: 192.168.130.20 -> switch 1
Controller 0 - NIC 1: 192.168.130.21 -> switch 1
Controller 0 - NIC 2: 192.168.131.20 -> switch 2
Controller 0 - NIC 3: 192.168.131.21 -> switch 2
Controller 1 - NIC 0: 192.168.130.22 -> switch 1
Controller 1 - NIC 1: 192.168.130.23 -> switch 1
Controller 2 - NIC 2: 192.168.131.22 -> switch 2
Controller 3 - NIC 3: 192.168.131.23 - > switch 2
Thank you in advance!

Hello @bmerfeld,
You might want to review the deployment guide for MD3220i and ME4024.
MD3220i: https://dell.to/3Q5YLxg
ME4024: https://dell.to/3BIxDzL
I think there might be a typo on the controller numbering? In both of the deployment guide will show you an example of IP address and switch cabling for your storage hardware configuration (dual controller with 4 ports).
