Issue upgrading MD3220 Firmware

  • Data validation error: The storage array cannot be upgraded as host port type representation in RAID Controller Module 0 did not match with those of RAID Controller Module 1. Contact a technical support representative to resolve this issue.

Hi, this error may occur when the host port type representation in the RAID controller modules does not match. This means that the modules have different settings for the SAS ports, such as speed, topology or mode. You can check these settings in the MDSM software or by using the serial port to access the CLI.

To resolve this issue, you may need to make sure that both modules have the same host port type representation. Alternatively, you can try to swap the modules with another MD3220 or a different model that supports them.
