Error 1000 when trying to synchronize RTCs on PowerVault MD3600f?

Hey all - 

Every time I log into my PowerVault (which is rare - usually when I notice an amber blinky on it in the server room), I usually have to synchronize the clocks. It would be nice if I could configure this to happen via NTP, but I'm not entirely sure how. Either way, when I try to MANUALLY synchronize it via the dialog box that comes up, I always get the following error message:

"Error 1000 - Could not communicate with the storage array to complete this request. 

Possible causes include network or connection problems, RAID controller module problems, or no power to the Host or storage array. Check these possible causes and then retry the operation.

If you just changed the logical unit number (LUN) mapping for an access virtual disk, you must reboot the affected Host(s) for the change to take effect."

Now, it's not network connectivity - if that were the case, I wouldn't be able to connect to it AT ALL via the MDSM software. But, nonetheless, here's my firmware and software versions pulled straight from the horse's mouth:
