Dell PowerVault MD 3200i disk replacement

Hello,

I need to replace a failed disk on our MD3200i, but the one we bought on Amazon is not compatible :

I know that we need a "Dell Entreprise class" hard disk, and this one was supposed to be a good one. It appeares on the controller with a A0 Firmware, we have the good firmware file on the host server but we can't put the firmware on the disk because the disk is"offline".

Do we need to get another compatible disk or is there a process to flash this disk ?

MD3200i S.T. = 81Y5KY1

Hello SaintMichelDesBatignolles,

Here is a link to the support matrix & if you look on page 17-25 we list out all the supported HDD/SSD for your MD3200i.  https://topics-cdn.dell.com/pdf/powervault-md3200_support-matrix_en-us.pdf The drive that you have is not on the list and that is why it shows as not supported.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
