Dell PowerEdge R720xd PERC H810 Adapter BIOS Configuration Utility showing "No Configuration Present"
Dell PowerEdge R720xd PERC 810 Adapter BIOS Configuration Utility 4.04-0003 showing "No Configuration Present !". Needing to replace this equipment, but that has been delayed.
Recently, the server was unable to complete a reboot and required a complete power down of the server and pulling of the power cables, then powering back to successfully load the OS. Reboots after that was done have been normal and the OS loaded without issue. All cables connecting the server to the Data Vaults are showing normal and all drives on the Data Vault as well as the R720 are showing green. Verified all drives and cables were connected properly. When rebooting, the screen shows no disks with foreign configurations, but one of the PERC H810 adapters is missing all of the virtual drives. In the OS, Windows Explorer is missing several drives. The BIOS Configuration Utility lists "0 Virtual Drive(s) found on the host adapter." for one of the PERC H810.
In the server's iDrac, all hardware showing green under Hardware Overview, but seeing the error under storage: RAC0512: "There are no virtual disks to be displayed" for one "PERC H810 Adapter". The other PERC H810 adapter shows virtual disks. Didn't see any way to export the configuration from the working PERC H810 to try and import it into the PERC H810 with missing virtual drives. The physical drives all show up. Wasn't able to manually create the virtual drives when trying the create virtual disk option.
Booted into the Lifecycle controller and saw the entry for the PERC H810 under Configuration Wizards: RAID Configuration. Was unable to view or modify the RAID configuration. Kept getting a warning message: RAID Configuration - Unable to configure RAID for the current controller? Retry using other supported controllers?" Clicked OK and tried Next again, but wouldn't proceed.
Not sure what else to try. It seems to have no configuration for the virtual drives, but possibly preventing the creation of a new configuration?

DellBeginner,
Would you run a SupportAssist collection, as described here. Afterwards would you upload the collection to https://dell.to/3nRYhgg and private message me the svc tag used to upload it with?
Thank you.

I apologize, I have the svc tag and details you messaged, but we are currently having an outage with the uploads site, so we can't currently recover the log you uploaded. I appreciate your patience and will be back with you once I can download the log.

Hello dellbeginner,
I'm sorry you haven't had a contact back. I'll reach out to the technician that was working with you and check into this.
Please allow me some time.

Haven't heard back. Were you able to retrieve that file once the outage was resolved?

Hello dellbeginner,
I was able to gather the log and review. The report did not include the controller logs but from what I can see in it looks like the H810 controller in slot 5 is connected to two MD1220 and the controller in slot 4 is not connected to any.
Let me recommend a few steps and check the results:
Update the EMM firmware
https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/product-support/product/powervault-md1220/drivers
Check your cabling
Cold boot everything: shut down server, remove power, shut down storage units, remove power. Wait 2 minutes. Reconnect power to storage units and power up. Reconnect power to the server and power up and check results.
If you still have an issue pull a new log, be sure to check the box for Controller log and upload to the same place. The server should be booted to the OS when the log is run or into the LifeCycle Controller.

Heya,
Charles is helping out one of the phone support teams for the foreseeable future. If you'd like to share the log with me, I'd be happy to give it a look.

Excellent. Once I get what we need, we'll want to pivot back here to work on the issue. It may seem silly, but it's a workflow type thing that helps me keep everything organized.
