creating new volumes

Hi, I recently installed 14 x 22tb disks into my Dell Powervault and added them to storage Pool A, I can see I have 249TB unused in the pool, but when I try to create a new volume it says I can only create 140TB.

Pool A consists of 14 x 3.8TB SSD drives along with the 14 x 22TB SAS drives.

I want to create a 220TB Archive volume

regards Darren

Hello,

Could you let us know what the storage model is for us to better assist you?

Hi Charles, yes it is a ME5084. it has 28 x 3.8TB disks in the top tray, split between pool A and B. I've installed the 14 x 22TB disks into the bottom tray and created a disk group with 210TB of storage and added it to pool A

Hi,

Based on the ME5 Administrator guide, the maximum virtual volume LUN size is 128TiB. Converted Tebibyte to Terabyte, that is 140TB, which the maximum size that you are having right now.
