Connecting PowerEdge R540 Server with Powervault MD1220
Hello,
We have recently bought a Dell PowerEdge R540 Server. It has a internal PERC H730P Raid Controller (5103106)
and a SAS 12GBps HBA External Controller low profile (5101766) aditional PCIe Card.
We already have a Dell Powervault MD1220 (6gb sas).
My questions are:
- Can this devices be connected?
- Which cables do I need?
I was doing a little research and I think the necessary cable is the "mini sas SFF 8088 to SFF-8644" but I'm not sure.
Can you give me more information about my case?

Here is the Dell part# YJXMR for the cable that is a 12GB to 6GB sas cable.
