Why powerstore 9200T shows DIMM alerts
We met an unexpected event on powerstore 9200T . "Nodes DIMM is disconnected ". Please find attached pic . My current version is 4.0.1.2 (Release, Build 2445526, 2025-02-17 22:57:23, Retail) .Also I found follow KB but actually could not find what is the issue according to KBs .
Does it relate to bug acccording to follow KB ?
OR
we should change DIMM according to follow ?

Hi,
Thanks for your question.
It could be that first issue, Which version are you running?

As I said in the first post my current version is 4.0.1.2 (Release, Build 2445526, 2025-02-17 22:57:23, Retail.
Does it your mean this is just a bug and we can ignore it ?

Try swapping two dimms and see if the errors come back.

@DELL-Josh Cr
Thanks. But this issue does not show continuously and the last one is record in the events is for 2 days ago . So if we swap 2 DIMMS from the device I am not sure how many days we should wait to come back the alert .

It could resolve it as well, so a few days at least.

@DELL-Josh Cr
I will do it . But before that there is some questions:
1 - Do I have to swap DIMM2 and DIMM3 from both nodes ?
2 - As you said this issue relates to first doc :
" https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000204824/powerstore-a-healthy-dimm-module-in-an-nvme-expansion-enclosure-may-be-marked-as-missing-failed "
according to this KB it is not matter and we can ignore it . On the other hand I am using latest OS . SO do you think this is a bug or hardware error ?

Yeah the KB only applied to certain versions that you are not using, so more likely a real error, just on the node with the error you have to swap.

@DELL-Josh Cr
According to second post the figure shows Node's DIMM and does not define specific node . So we need to replace DIMM2 and DIMM3 for both nodes . Is that correct ?

Yes, do both nodes then.
