powerstore nvme over FC
Hi
I need to connect Powerstore over nvme FC to ESX server
I see that the Powerstore has WWPN for NVME
Is The ESX have WWPN for NVME on the FC port or only one WWPN for nvme and FC?

Hello malamteam
PowerStore supports connectivity over NVMe FC, allowing for high-speed data transfers and efficient storage operations. However, there are specific considerations and potential issues related to using NVMe FC with PowerStore that users should be aware of:
FC-NVMe Protocol Support:
PowerStoreOS 2.0 requires the use of the FC-NVMe protocol, with direct attach NVMe over fiber channel (N2N) not supported. Support for FC-NVMe was transitioned to the lpfc driver when upgrading from ESXi 7.0 U2 to U3, following changes in the driver structure and functionality.
Which FC HBA are you using? Which version of ESX are you using?

Hi
I am using ESX version 8 and Emulex FC HBA
The Powerstore has 2 WWPN per port. One for FC and one for NVME
Is the ESX FC HBA port has also 2 WWPN one for FC and one for NVME?
I see on the switch only one WWPN from the ESX HBA port (FC WWPN)

Hello malamteam,
You should have 2 and be able to choose your nvme connection and configure.
