Hello alisho,
When adding drives to a powerstore system the need to be the same size, speed and type. If you add drives that are not the same then you can cause issues with your powerstore system.

@DELL-Sam L thanks for reply
But if the the disks are the same type but different in capacity is it cause issues in power store systems,
another Q : is NTP and DNS is mandatory in power store initial configuration and if i ignore during initial configuration will cause an issue ?

Hello alisho,
If you are adding a replacement drive of a different size, that is different then, adding a new drive of a different size into the system. Which Powerstore system do you have? If you configure your powerstore system without DNS, you can cause issues. PowerStore periodically checks the accessibility of configured DNS servers. If all configured DNS servers become unavailable, an alert will be generated. NTP configuration is optional but is recommend that it is configured.
