Powerstore 500T network ports and bonding/teaming

Hi there,

I have a question about powerstore 500T. As in the picture, powerstore embedded module has 2 x 10GbE and 4x 25GbE optical ports for network access (just block for our case no nas). The higher models require nic teaming/bonding/port-channel configuration on the network switches for port 1&2 from the 4 ports card.

So, regarding Powerstore 500T which ports require LAG -link aggregation configuration on the network switches? (2x 10GbE ports or port 1&2 on the 4x 25GbE)

Thanks,

The system bond (ports 0 and 1) on mezz0 require a bond on the ToR.  Mezz0 is the bottom left and top right in your picture.  If you are only running block in a single appliance cluster you're not required to connect the system bond.

No other port requires bonding and in fact if you are not using NAS you cannot bond any of the other ports.  User defined bonds are only supported for NAS.

Note the SAS ports in your picture are not used on the PowerStore 500.
