Stop Powerpath LUN trespassing on CX4-120

Hello,

Is there any way to stop Powerpath from causing a LUN trespass? I have three ESX servers that are currently direct connected to a CX4-120. These servers need to be moved to a MDS SAN with VNX5400. The servers have two connections on the CX4-120, one to SPA and one to SPB. I will have the tech on site move the B connections to the new fabric. The ESX servers will straddle both arrays so I can run the VMWare storage migrations to the new array. I'm afraid that the wrong cable will get pulled. If this happens, Powerpath on each host will trespass the LUN to the array port that it can see causing a tug-of-war situation. Is there any way to prevent Powerpath and the array from trespassing a LUN, with the exception of an SP failure of course.

Thanks.

i do not know, my ESX servers do not have PowePath.  Just threw it out there as a data point that might need more research. Hopefully DellEMC folks will chime in.

Just to be clear for failover mode 0. As long as Auto-trespass is not active, the array will ignore requests from Powerpath to trespass the LUN?

maybe setting failover mode to 0 and disabling auto-trespass ?

Doesn't have to be ESX servers, could be any server with Powerpath.

don't have systems zoned/direct connected like yours, so can't vouch if that would work on it.
