Renamed a windows 2003 host, now show several dead paths
I have a windows 2003 x64 server that I renamed. Now I have several dead paths that show up. I know I can run powermt to remove the dead paths, but if I add another disk, it will also end up with another dead path(s). I have searched EMC knowledge base but I haven't found any information regarding issues with renaming a host.

Navisphere shows the correct server name under connectivity status and Storage group.
ECC Control Center shows the correct server name.
In PowerPath, for all the DMX devices, it shows 2 failed(dead) and 2 active.
In PowerPath, for the Clariion device, it shows 4 failed, and 4 active.
I need to add another disk from the clariion, but I think I will have the same issue when I add it.
I put in a service request to EMC a few days ago, but I can't get anyone to respond to the ticket...
Powerpath version is 4.4.1.65
Thanks.

run powermt check --> delete all dead paths
run powermt save --> saves current config
(additional) reboot --> this will force drivers and PnP manager to re-enumerate devices
and then continue with adding drives
