Regarding /proc/diskstats when EMC PP is configured.
We have EMC Clariion luns configured and Powerpath also configured for Multipathing and load balancing.
Any update on this will be help.

Hi. This issue was fixed in PowerPath 5.1 for Linux. We recommend upgrading to the latest (5.3 SP1) if your configuration is supported under the guidelines specified in the EMC Support Matrix.
Thanks, Brion

Hi Biron,
We upgraded PowerPath 5.3 SP1 on one of our linux Server. But observing the same issue. Only the pseudo paths are updated in /proc/diskstats when I/O was happening, not the actual /dev/sd(x) device paths.
# powermt version
EMC powermt for PowerPath (c) Version 5.3 SP 1 (build 111)
# uname -a
Linux sd-dvt-lnx43 2.6.18-128.el5PAE #1 SMP Wed Dec 17 12:02:33 EST 2008 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
# cat /etc/issue
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.3 (Tikanga)
Kernel \r on an \m
#
The server is connected to EMC Clariion Array.
Thanks,
Ulag.

Hi. We have also seen this issue in a more current build. We are investigating this now. I can't specify a date for a fix at this time. Let's continue to communicate in this forum about updates. Thanks!
