RedHat Linux upgrade
I am upgrading to RHEL 4.0 from RHEL 3.0. I need to do a fresh install. I currently have 30+ luns assigned to this host. How so I insure that all the luns have the same psuedo names?

It's actually quite easy to do once you have that list saved. It's just a pain to rename them all

Output it to a file, save it and make sure you have an identifier to go off of. (Like LUN 20 = emcpowerb)
Once you have that you can pull the host out of the SG, Reload the OS, Update everything (U4+), Install Navi, Install PowerPath, Add host to SG and then use the "emcpadm" utility to change all of your psuedo names to the old ones you had.
Oh yeah you may want to get a copy and paste of your /etc/fstab file to if you have that many
Hope this helps,

Just so you know the powermt save commands saves and changes you have made to your currently running configuration. It is not a backup and restore config or flag.
