Powerpath vs MPIO
Hello,
I am connecting AIX (Version 6.1) servers to an EMC CX4-120 array using Powerpath 5.5.02, when I create a LUN it becomes an MPIO device by default
instead of Powerpath as expected. Powerpath commands (options disply or check) does not show any device.
What could be the problem ? How can I go about that ?
Thanks
Regards
Jean

you should have either PowerPath or MPIO ..not both.

Thanks
I understand, but I did the same on previous versions of AIX and PP and it took Powerpath by default without removing Mpio.
Do you mean that I should remove PP first ? I don't know if you or someone else did that and how ?
