PowerPath Vs McAfee 8.5

We have a cx4-480 with two R900 running a microsoft SQL 2005 (clustered). PowerPath version 5.2 SP1 is installed and McAfee 8.5.0i (agent 4.0)

The problem i'm having is that Mcafee is not able to contact the policy server to get its policies, because it has a conflict over a dll with PowerPath.

Virusscan works, but the McAfee Agent (management agent) isn¿t functioning, meaning policies aren¿t being inforced and tasks aren¿t running, which means Virusscan isn¿t updating itself or sending alerts. The McAfee solution is to role back the agent, however you can only have one agent on an EPO server so this would cause more problems. McAfee¿s Knowledgebase reference is KB60775

As far as i know McAfee was installed first, before PowerPath, and before any of the clustering software was setup. My main concern is that McAfee is scanning areas which you would normally exclude (e.g. the Quorum) which could effect the statability of the cluster.

Has anyone seen this before and how can it be resolved?

Thanks

I'm seeing other problems with McAfee: whenever the DAT update takes place, the cluster wants to failover. And furthermore: the failover isn't worknig, so this hurts :(

Not Good.

McAfee have not issued any fixes or guidence, a part from to role back the agent to 3.6.0 patch 4

I'm guessing EMC are not looking into the problem,
