PowerPath Setup Script

Hi,

i know that during installation PowerPath (SOLARIS) adds a line to /etc/.login and it allows to run a PP script in the current C shell enviroment at system boot.

What exactly does this script responsible for?

Thank you

Alec

Hi Alec.  During the PowerPath installation on Solaris, the line added to /etc/.login runs a script that modifies the PATH environment variable so PowerPath commands will be found.  It creates (or modifies) LD_LIBRARY_PATH so that the PowerPath encryption runtime libraries are found.  I hope this helps.

Thanks, Brion
