Powerpath and Flare code 26

Hello,

Is Powerpath for solaris version 4.5 compatible with Flare code 26? I checked e-interoperatibilty matrix and it was not clear. Thanks!

it works and will continue working but it just EMC wont' support it on your platform. No experience with mpxio, sorry. If Veritas is using power devices and not native devices i suspect you will have some work to do to make it work to native solaris devices.

That' fine, I would rather leave it on. So I am safe to assume it will continue to work after we upgrade to Flare 26? I don't care if it's supported at this point because it's been on the server and stable for long time. I can deal with upgrading the version of PP later. I just want to make sure it will work with Flare 26.

Only PowerPath 5.1, 5.2 and 5.2.1 are supported with Solaris 10 Update 6 and Solaris 10 with patch 137137-09 or later . Please see primus case emc201300

I have PP 4.5 installed on it now and it works, is that because I am still at FLARE code 19? If I remove it and use mpxio, will my data be ok. I use veritas volume manager and file system.

Wonderful news, you just made my day! We have a similar situation here and I don't really want to change anything on the server in question if I don't have to. Thank you Dynamox for your wonderful support! - Happyadmin

it will be fine, i have a couple of old solaris boxes running 4.5 connected to CX4 flare 28 ..no issues. Did not want to bother upgrading them as they are being decommissioned soon.
