PhysicalDisk counters contain invalid and duplicate entries

Hi i have a Windows server 2008 64bit SP2 running PowerPath 5.3 Build 311
and we expirence the following,
In the Performance Monitor window, you find that the storage devices are named incorrectly, and that the expected numeric information is not displayed. Additionally, in the Performance Monitor Properties window, the PhysicalDisk counters under the instances tab contain invalid and duplicate disk resource entries. However, when you use the DiskPart.exe tool to check the disk resources, the disk resources are displayed correctly.

I have installed the KB974878 patch, and the problem i still there if i run PowerPath,
if i install Microsoft Native MPIO no problem!
so the problem only ocurres when PowerPath is installed
I have looked on Powerlink for a patch who fixes the problem, but whit no luck
Is there a PowerPath patch there fixes this issue ?

Regards
Kenneth Ditmar Hansen.

Hi Kenneth. To fix this problem, there will be a Microsoft hotfix as well as a service pack to PowerPath 5.3 for Windows. A Primus case will be made available soon.

Thanks, Brion

I can now say that this will be fixed in Powerpath 5.3 SP1

and this release should be around about 08-03-2010
