no valid mapping entries in conf file

Hello

I have a Solaris 10 Sparc box installed with Emulex Lp1100 HBAs that is connected to a CX300.

I have set up the Emulex leadville drivers and can see the CLARiiON LUNs in \dev\dsk as c1t d0s0 etc

I have installed PowerPath 5.2 to multipath the devices, but I receive an error when I run powercf -q
NO valid mapping entries in conf file
also
powermt display dev=all
returns no results.

The box was built cleanly from scratch so it has never had an earlier version of PowerPath on it. I have tried removing PowerPath using the /etc/emcp_cleanup script and then reinstalling it, but this hasn't worked.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Richard.

Please run the following:

powermt display options >> ensure the outpu shows that CLARiiON is 'managed'

if not, run powermt manage class=clariion

Its possible that One or more of the CLARiiON settings like Initiator Type(3), Arraycommpath(1), and Failovermode(1) settings is configured incorrectly, please check in connectivity status in Navisphere Manager, by clickin on each HBA and Edit.
