Newbie: Migration to PowerPath from IBM SDD Kit

I will start by saying that I am new to EMC kit so please be gentle with me

I am trying to migrate my hosts from an IBM ESS 800 over to a NS120.

Here is what I have done so far:

I have some Windows 2003 exchange servers with the IBM SDD multi-pathing software installed. They have presented some fibre LUNs from an ESS 800 and the NS 120.Unfortunately those servers are seeing the EMC LUNs multiple times. My guess is that the IBM software is not rationalising the multiple paths to the EMC LUNs.

Can I simply remove the IBM multi-pathing software and install the EMC Power path software on these exchange servers?

Will the power path software makes sense of the multiple paths to the IBM LUNs? I need to be see both the EMC and the IBM LUNs for a week or so so that we can migrate the data.
