SRDF GigE RE port configuration

No, it does not. You will still need to contact support for that.

Support has now enabled GigE-RE ports with active IP's However the SRDF Scan/Create Connection will not find remote array, nor display a local RE port to connect from which is odd. Is there another process to create an initial remote connection now?

I had to add the management servers (symcli, Uni vApp, etc) from each site to the ACL of the other site.  I also had to get the storrdfsd daemon running on each management server.  Then I did a symcfg discover on each server as well as in Unisphere.  Also check to make sure the Remote Machine Table (RMT) is populated with the RE and IP information of each site.  The RMT can be populated via the GUI (on the replication screen) or vis symcli.  

Not sure if that is the correct procedure, but that is what I did and was finally able to see the RDF connections and create RDF Groups.
