The specified device size is too large error when adding a device.

Hi,

New to the forum and new to ScaleIO.  I have 1 gateway and 2 MDM an 3 SDS/SDC nodes running on CentOS 7.  I am trying to add a  13TB device via windows ScaleIO GUI and get the following: /dev/sda: The specified device is too large. Please specify a size smaller than the capacity of the specified device. What am I doing wrong?  Second question how should I slice and dice DAS on the hosts?  RAID 5? Raid 0? I think I read Raid 0 somewhere but I do not recall.  Thank you in advance!

Disk /dev/sda: 14999.9 GB, 14999890165760 bytes, 29296660480 sectors

Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes

Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes

I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes

Hi,

As per ScaleIO documentation, we support devices between 100GG - 6TB, 13TB is too big.

Every disk should be a standalone RAID0.

Hope that helps!
