ScaleIO on ESXI 6 - Cannot clone VM from template. Error details: Memory (RAM) size (1706) is invalid.
Hi,
I'm trying do deploy ScaleIO on my Lab but everytime I get this error:
Cannot clone VM from template. Error details: Memory (RAM) size (1706) is invalid.
I'm using vSphere 6 Update 1 with ESXI 6 Update 1, I have read on another thread that another user has succesfully deployed ScaleIO on vSphere 6 U1 so I don't think that this is the problem.
I'm using the latest version of ScaleIO, 1.32-2451.4.
Thanks

Thank you for the feedback!
We are familiar with this issue and are working on a resolution. In the meanwhile can you try the deployment without RMcache (RAM cache) at all? just set it to 0 in the deployment wizard on add Protection domain step.
Please let us know how it worked.

I have just tried to do what you asked me however, when I try to set Ram Cache to 0 when I click add to create the protection domain automatically the Ram cache is set on 128MB.
Another thing is that if I go on, at the end I get this message:
Some of the SDSs will have less RAM Read Cache than requested
Details:
The following ESXs will have SDSs with less RAM Read Cache than requested:
ESX vesxi-03.mkhprod.local: requested 128 MB, actual 128 MB
ESX vesxi-02.mkhprod.local: requested 128 MB, actual 128 MB
ESX vesxi-01.mkhprod.local: requested 128 MB, actual 128 MB
