Cannot Install scaleiO
When trying to install scaleIO it always fails with this error:
Error code: SSH_AUTHENTICATION_FAILURE) : Change Root SVM Credentials
Does anyone know how to fix this? I would really like to demo this but cannot even get it to install properly.

Can you please check, whether the IP you assigned to the SVM is correct and you can reach it?.
Try to ssh to this IP from your desktop and login with credentials root/admin

All,
I can Ping it, I have not tried to SSH to it yet tho.
General Specs:
I will have 3 Hosts, Each host has 2.6GHz or Better CPU, Each Host has 48GB of RAM, 2 Hosts have 500GB of Storage and one host has 12TB of Storage, I am trying to combine 4 NIC and use a Standard Switch, with 1GB links to each NIC, the VMPG is associated with a VLAN and the network is giving the Hosts a Ether Channel or Port-Channel. I am running VMware VCenter 5.5 and ESXI 5.5.
Thanks for all your help

Does anyone have an idea on what the issue could be? I moved my VCenter Server local to try it out but I get the same result, POO!

Please make sure that you ssh to the SVM using the creds Alex provided. It is failing trying to change the creds of the SVM's root account. If it can't reach the SVM via ssh its sure to fail at this step.

After digging in a little, I found that I cannot login to the SVM using root for the username and admin for the password, would you know why this is happening?

What about trying to use root and the password you've specified as a new one?

I tried that with no luck, If i create a SVM from the vAPP it keeps the original password, but when doing it through VCenter, I can't get into the VM.

Meant to say, if I directly copy the SVM from the vAPP I can get into it, but when I use the deploy tool in VCenter it fails. And I cannot get into it because I have no idea what the password it.

Hi,
Few questions to try and get a better picture:
1. Are you using the ScaleIO OVA?
2. How did you create the SVM template, using our PowerCLI (ps1) scripts or some other method?
3. Where is your Virgo (vSphere web client server) is running?
4. The error on which this thread began happened after you performed all steps in the Deployment wizard and launched the SIO system deployment process?
Thanks,
Tomer

1. Are you using the ScaleIO OVA? - YES
2. How did you create the SVM template, using our PowerCLI (ps1) scripts or some other method? - I Used your PowerCLI Template
3. Where is your Virgo (vSphere web client server) is running? - On my VCenter Server, Simple Installation
4. The error on which this thread began happened after you performed all steps in the Deployment wizard and launched the SIO system deployment process? - Yes
I was able to get it to change the SVM password but now I cannot get past:
Running: Install ScaleIO SECONDARY_MDM module

Did you deploy a minimum of 3 SVMs?
all are accessible via SSH?
Can you please send the following file + logs:
Virgo logs:
Windows: C:\ProgramData\VMware\vSphere Web Client\serviceability\logs
Linux: /var/log/vmware/vsphere-client/
Plugin logs and other conf/deployment files:
Windows: C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming\VMware\scaleio
Linux: /opt/.vmware/scaleio
