Unable to Install x64 bit OS in Dell Poweredge 2950
Hi,
I am trying to install Microsoft OS 2008 x64 bit, and 2012 x64 bit in Dell poweredge 2950 server, But unfortunately on the booting mood server is restarting, i am unbale to fined this issue, can any one let me know why these problem is occurred. And any 32 bit OS is installing properly without any issue , only problem is facing during the x64 OS installation , Dell poweredge 2950 is 64 bit supporting hardware but still i cant installed 2008 64 bit server.

Hi, If the server has UEFI option you can select and try it. This model is a bit old for me. I was looking for what can be causing this issue. I encountered this thread, in here they talked about downgrading to BIOS. http://dell.to/3YeuiS9;

The 2950 does not support UEFI.
Which CPU model do you have installed?
Where does the install stop / get stuck? Is there an error message?
