SUSE 9.2 "no hard disks found for installation, please check your hardware"

Hi,
 
I keep on getting this error:
"no hard disks found for installation, please check your hardware"
 
When i try to install suse linux 9.2
 
I have a feeling that there is something wrong with the drivers for the scsi controller? perc???
 
Please please help!

could you give a discription of what hardware you have in the server?  PERC version, etc.

We ordered PE4800 with Suse Linux ent. server 9.  for intel EM64T.
 
For some reason, installation CD won't boot from 4800's CD ROM module.  We tried another 4800 CD ROM module, still the same.
 
We ended up using USB CD ROM to boot and went through installation.
 
Redhat works fine with Server Assistant CD, but Dell Server Assistant doesn't support Suse Linux at this time.
