PowerEdge R640 and R340 EOL
May I know if there is a link where I can check and determine the EOL for Dell PowerEdge R640 and R340?
Thanks in advance.

Hello Augustine.chua,
There is no document announced or published for servers for EOL or EOSL. Usually, lifespan hardware is around 5-7 years. Probably you will be receiving a renewal email or call as soon as the product's warranty is close to the end. In most cases, a warranty of up to 5 years is provided. On the more robust and common models, the warranty can be extended for +2 years and the scope can be extended up to 7 years in total. There may be priority support and limited support periods. Unfortunately, there is no announcement until which year the EOL or EOSL of individual models is specified. At the same time, there may be changes based on local laws in different countries locally.
I can recommend you to talk to the sales representatives of your location and get more detailed information.
Once warranty extensions have been exceeded you can still check into a Post Standard Support contract : https://dell.to/47xaVIF

Hi Charles,
Is the countdown of EOL related to the date of purchase?

Hello,
End of Life (EOL) and End of Support Life (EOSL) would be tied to the warranty at time of purchase.
It is typically five years from purchase. Sometimes that can be extended two years.
