Poweredge r630 not starting
Hello all,
I have a poweredge r630 server not starting
The fans start running then after 1 sec stop and leds:
-ds0 is solid
-ds2 is solid
-ds5 is blinking
I tried the following
- removing the rams except the a1 and b1 slots
- Removing cpu 2
- installing cpu 2 instead of cpu 1
- removing the fans
- removing all the additional cards and hard disks
But still the same.
The server had a problem with a network card fan 1 week ago that prevented it from completing boot
But after solving the fan issue it ran normally for 2 days
Then the mentioned above happened
Any idea what is causing the malfunction?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Based on the LED status you have mentioned, I found this error: A power fault condition has been detected on the 3.3V power rail. This rail touches the backplane and all PCIe cards (including NDC and PERC). It may be related to the fan issue, as the fan uses 3.3V too. But let's leave the fan troubleshooting aside.
Try to remove all connected PCIe devices including the NDC and PERC. Isolate and replace as needed.
If this doesn't work, detach the cable going to the backplane from the motherboard. If system is able to proceed without backplane attached, consider trying with the backplane connected but disks removed
Did you previously replace the faulty fan that you mentioned? If no, try replacing it. If yes, unfortunately, you might be having a mainboard issue, which need to be replaced.
