Packet loss using onboard R610 NICs

Hey all,

I have a R610 II running 2012r2 Data centre edition, with 3Vms running on it.

HyperV host 2012 R2 Datacenter edtion

Vm1 2012r2 Gen2

Vm2 2012r2 Gen2

QLogic BCM5709C Gigabit

Driver 7.13.54.0/ 08.0726, A00-00

Latest firmware

Having a problem with networks on Hyper V server, if I connect the my laptop to the same connection i get around 96mb up/down with no packet loss (pinging 8.8.8.8 and downloading large test file) however if connect the network (the first being the host, 2nd is for VM's) I would get around 96mb up/down but get packet loss on both connections via the NICs. is dropping people connected off the server and im losing productivity  very frustrating, I've reinstalled the server drivers and firmware tried to change the Vm network switch to old and new style, tried changing the duplex to 100mb, vm virtual machine queuers to off, and packet moderation off. its better but still drops.

Its firewall VM (PFsence) looses connection to the Gateway making the vms drop out for around 5seconds or so.

To eliminate hardware i've also tested with a another 4port card but that also losses packets.

Any suggestions anyone can help with?

Kind regards

Oliver.

Turns out the switch i was connected too was giveing out bad TX errors, simply reconnecting this after a couple of mins or too solved it!! the hours i spent trying to resolve this.

VMQ being disabled has helped.
