Having a ton of trouble updating an older server (R710 running VMware ESXi 6.0)
My usual, easy method of performing a one-off firmware & driver update on a PowerEdge server is to go to the "Update PowerEdge Servers with Platform Specific Bootable ISO" page, download the relevant .iso file, attach it to the server via iDRAC virtual media and then boot it. After that it's just a waiting game until it's done.
Great. Easy. I like this.
However, I'm currently working with an R710, which is out of support and therefore no longer has a link on the above page. Individual updates are available from the support site, but this server runs ESXi, so none of the download formats will work. (And having to find and install each update one file at a time is a massive pain anyway.)
Is there a straightforward way of doing this for older servers that I'm missing?

Hello,
you can use Dell Repository Manager and create a customer ISO image with all updated in your repository.
This link may help you:

Thanks for the reply. However, I'm unable to use the Repository Manager for the same reason I'm unable to use "Update PowerEdge Servers with Platform Specific Bootable ISO " page: the R710 & R610 are no longer listed.
For example, here I'm attempting to create a new repository:
