Dell Open Manage for PE2950 for WS2012R2

I tried to access the Open Manage system on our hyper-v server today, but my director told me that a version of Open Manage, for the PE2950 on Windows Server 2012 R2 does not exist and that it is only out there for something fancy like an R6**/-7**/-8**

I know it is out there because I installed it in the last enterprise I was part of managing, but for the life of me, just two years later, I cannot figure out where we obtained the original install for this.

I downloaded three or four installs for Open Manage on the drivers page for our service tag, but one of them came up with "[I'm just a patch]" and the other three indicated they were not compatible. Even though we set the OS to Windows Server 2012 R2, it is still giving me "for 32-bit node," so maybe we are missing something else.

I am hoping to win the lottery here and have a Dell engineer take pity on me and point me to an FTP location I can give to my director so that we can pull this software down for all of the systems in our network.

I can't possibly be the only person who has faced this problem, but I may be the only person who hasn't been able to fix it on their own.

Please help.

Untrue. You'll find it at support.dell.com, select your system, change the OS dropdown selection, then look under Systems Management for OpenManage Server Administrator (Managed Node). The 32-bit version is fine and will install in 64-bit OS's with WoW enabled (all but "core" by default).

You can also go to http://ftp.dell.com.

Excellent! Thank you for your help on this. This is even better than an FTP because it actually has information to indicate it is the correct installer.

I knew there had to be one, so I am glad I could find the download on a page where it undeniably indicates it is intended for this hardware.
