Configurable TD & x2APIC Mode Bios under Windows Server 2012 R2
Question about the Bios Settings for Configurable TD & x2APIC Mode under Windows Server 2012 R2.
CPU 2 Each Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-2680 v4
What are the best settings for the highest CPU MHz High Turbo Power that is for the two settings below?
Configurable TDP - Normal or - Level 1
x2APIC Mode -Enabled or -Disabled
Usage is for BOINC CPU Projects like PrimeGrid

Hello
Neither of those options will affect the CPU frequency or power states.
This is a power and cooling option. Nominal will set fans to run at normal speeds. Level 1 will decrease fan speeds.
This enables or disables the newer communication method of the CPU. This should only be disabled if the operating system does not support it. The CPU will operate more efficiently with this enabled. It may affect performance but not in raw MHz or turbo states.
