CD Burning software for PowerEdge servers in win 2012r2?
I am a bit dumbfounded here: I certainly can use the dvd drive (a HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GU90N) for reading CDs but I was unable to find a software to burn cds or create an ISO from a DVD.
The usual suspects like CDBurner XP, PowerISO or ImbBurn show all that there is no compatible device installed..
All this in Windows Server 2012R2 Foundation.
Any advice?

Hello paterler,
Quick question, in device manager, is the DVD drive listed as DVD+-RW? - If yes, have you tried running the software that you have installed, CDBurner XP as administrator? technet.microsoft.com/.../cc732200(v=ws.11).aspx

Which PowerEdge servers? I haven't had this issue on any of them. Not that I regularly burn discs from my server, but I haven't seen this before. Without knowing which systems, I might hazard a guess that you are using older systems with SCSI or IDE controllers.

Running CDBurner XP as admin did the trick, thanks!
