S160 and Space Storage Direct

Our C6620 sleds unfortunately has been bought without a hardware RAID controller so I am forced to use softraid S160 with Windows 2025. Inside each sled there are 2x1.5TB (for OS) and 2x 1.9TB for data and I had to set S160 to manage the OS' disks in mirror.

I'm wondering if this controller supports Space Storage Direct because even if the two data disks are marked as NON RAID in the BIOS' S160 settings, they seem to appear as "bustype=RAID"  in Windows, during the S2D validation process, like if the software raid controller does not passthrough the disk.

If the S160 did  not support S2D, any advice to which steps I could go on? remove the soft RAID and let windows to manage the soft RAID1? In my past experience that was a pain, when using multiple partitions like a GPT disk has.

Thanks!
