RAID5 showing as Degraded but all drives are online

Hello there,

I had a problem with one of my drives and had to replace it, but instead of replacing it, I think I accidentally added a new one to the RAID and the old one is still showing as "Removed", how do I fix this?

Hello,

The image show VD Degraded and not failed. That is good it is not failed.

Can you still access the data on the virtual disk?

Make sure you have good backup.

It looks like the controller is holding on to old information. On the image showing Removed, the PD 00.01:02 is listed at the bottom.

I could first recommend a flea power drain and check results after. Make sure you have a backup first.

You will need a maintenance window to do this.

drain flea power (shut down, disconnect power cables and Network cables, hold in power button 20 seconds with cords removed).

After flea power drain, system has to set for 3 minutes for DRAC to reset without any power plugged in,

Then plug in NIC and power but wait 2 minutes before power on to give DRAC time to initialize.

@DELL-Charles R Yes I can acess the data normally, everything is working fine. I need to say that i did a procedure where it took  a entire day to rebuild the RAID5 again, where I added the new HDD, didn't lose any data.

I'll try this procedure, thanks.
