Raid Hard Disks Stopped Blinking Status
The lithium battery on the PERC card failed completely and the hard disks on the front of the server stopped blinking their status like they once did. I replaced the battery and I am no longer seeing a warning message during server boot but the hard disk lights did not return to their previous function. They do flash to show activity but they don't show the solid green (or amber) for status. I was able to log into the RAID configuration software and was surprised to discover that one of the drives had failed but it wasn't showing me an amber light on the front.
Is there a setting in the configuration software that needs to be enabled to get the status lights back?

BRTool,
The battery failing would not cause the issue with the lights, as the perc batteries sole use is to preserve the cache data in case of a power event. What I would recommend is that you make sure the server is up to date on BIOS, iDrac, H710p, as well as the drives themselves and see if that resolves the issue. If not then we may look at swapping out the backplane for a known good matching one, if you have one, and see if that resolves it.

Hello, we would love to know what server and PERC you are using.
Also can you enter into PERC?
Sending us your service tag would also help. Could you kindly use DM here since this is private asset?
