RAID 6 or 10 availability
Hello.
We are planning on deploying a PowerEdge server that will function as the interface to a vSphere appliance and also act as the initial destination for virtual machine backups. One of the considerations in customizing the server is the RAID configuration. Ideally, we would want to have either RAID 6 or RAID 10 as opposed to the RAID 1 or 5 options.
Do any of the PowerEdge servers have RAID 6 or 10 available? If so, how would that be selected in the customization? If neither is available, is there another line of systems that do support those two RAID options?

Thats more a PERC rather than a PowerEdge questions because it depends on the given RAID controller like Software S1xx, H3/4xx or H7/8/9xx.
The big ones like H7/8/9xx supporting all of your requested RAID Levels.
You select the RAID Level when creating the first VirtualDisk(VD) on a given Diskgroup.
