R660 with S160 controller not visable in iDRAC GUI

We have an R660 with an S160 controller installed and the drives are in a RAID volume

Is it possible to have visability of the S160 software controller and the drives in the RAID on the iDRAC web interface?

iSM is installed and Dell-VMware ESXi

There are no hardware issues here just asking to see if this is possible

DWocean11,

The Perc S160 is a software-based RAID controller that relies on the host operating system and drivers for management. Unlike hardware RAID controllers, like the Perc H745, the S160 doesn't expose full RAID configuration or disk health directly to the iDRAC. Also, it is not natively visible in the iDRAC GUI, even with iSM installed, so it would require OS-level tools like Dell OpenManage Storage Management or OMSA for full visibility and management.

Even though iSM (iDRAC Service Module) is installed, its role is primarily to:

Provide OS-level telemetry to iDRAC (e.g., hostname, IP, OS version).
Replicate Lifecycle Controller logs into the OS.
Enable features like Remote iDRAC Hard Reset and SNMP alerts. [dell.com]

However, iSM does not extend visibility of software RAID controllers like the S160 into the iDRAC GUI.

Let me know if this helps.
