PowerEdge T630 with Persistent Error
I bought a T630 from the local university, where it had been retired from server duty, to repurpose it as a workstation. It was supposedly in working condition when taken out of service. The system has a PERC H710P RAID and 8 bays for SAS/SATA drives.
The system gave a " <Private data removed from public view. DELL-Admin>
Storage BP1" error for both SAS A0 and SAS B0. I found that the connectors for 2 drives on the "A" bank were damaged, so I replaced the drive backplane using one with the same part number (P/N: 70YDP). Restarted the system and got the same error message, so I have replaced both the data cable (P/N: 4G20M) and the RAID card (P/N: XDHXT). Again, these are matching part numbers. I replaced the cable and RAID card more on the basis that the connectors just didn't feel right when I was plugging them in.
I restarted the system after replacing this hardware and the still persists. I have tried clearing the system RAM and iDRAC logs, but there is still no joy.
Any ideas as to what to try next? I thank you in advance for your help.

Hello,
Part #:70YDP
Part Desc.:ASSY,CRD,BKPLN,8X3.5,PET630
Could I ask
1.if you have only 1 cable
and 2. If you still see the disk from the RAID card?
Respectfully,

Hi,
Can you confirm the BP SIG cable is connected to which connector on the mainboard? BP_SIG0 or BP_SIG1 or BP_SIG2?
The cable should be connected to BP_SIG1.
https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/en-us/poweredge-t630/t630_om/system-board-connectors?guid=guid-bb64bb09-ce9a-420b-b190-ba751a14e5e4&lang=en-us
The connectors on the RAID controller should have 'click' feel when the cables are connected properly.

I thank you for your prompt reply.
The BP SIG cable was connected to BP_SIG1. I reseated the MB connector, cleared the memory & logs, and powered up the system. The same errors are still reported.
I forgot to previously note that the all of the drive status lights blink in a controlled, well ordered fashion. This has not changed.
What do I try next?
