PowerEdge R730 H830 Add-In Card Error Message On Boot
I have an existing PowerEdge R730 with an onboard DELL PERC H730P Mini. I want to exand the storage by adding an MD1400 so I purchased a PERC H830 card. When I add the H830 to the server I receive the error message below. Does the R730 support PERC H730P Mini + add-in H830 RAID cards and if so, how do I resolve this error?
Avago EFI SAS Driver:
Unhealth status report by this UEFI driver without specific error messages(s).
UEFI0116: One or more boot drivers have report issues(s).
Check the Driver Health Menu in Boot Manager for details.
One or more boot drivers require configuration changes. Press any key to load the driver health manager for configuration.

Techdoctor,
It defintely sounds like you have preexisting configuration on the H830. I would access the controller, delete any existing Virtual Disks that are configured, then create a new Virtual Disk. After that then you should be able to proceed.
Let me know if this helps.

I should also mention that the H830 was purchased used. There is also a message:
Critical Message
There are offline or missing virtual drives with preserved cache. Please check the cables and ensure that all drives are present. Press any key to enter the configuration utility.
Is this leftover from the previous server that the H830 card was pulled from?
