Perc H700 Drive support
Hi, I recently bought a Poweredge R710. It came with only a perc H200, and I'm interested in buying larger (2TB+) HDD's for it as well as a perc H700 for more RAID capabilities. Does the H700 support non-Dell drives, and if so, what's the biggest drive size it supports?
Thank you.

Hello,
We don't block non-Dell drives but it is recommended to use Dell validated parts.
The largest verified capacity supported by the PERC H700 is 8TB per drive.
Drives must use 512n or 512e sector formats.
4Kn (4096-byte native sector) drives are not supported and will not be recognized by the H700 controller.
I'll list a couple of 4TB examples and Sales may have others they can quote you for purchase.
