out of disk space on C and D partitions!!
Hi ,
I have a Dell PE800 ,with a CERC SATA 1.5/6 Raid card, using 2 ports, running raid 1 with 160gb storage. The C drive has been borderline full for some time now.The D drive is just above defragment level.
The Biggest problem is the fact that the server came configured with 12 gb C: drive (which was my error, as I didn't realize at the time what problems this would present)
I have 2 new 500gb Seagate sata 300 drives ,which the raid card will support, and i woul like to migrate the data from D: to the new drives and then expand C: to the full capacity of the original drives to leave room for future user data(unless there is a specific reason not to go that large on C:)
Having two RAID 1 configurations?
Do I need any other software besides Dell Openmanage Server Administrator? (OSA is giving me web certificate errors now)
it includes the following:

This RAID thing is all new to me-I don't know where to start with this and haven't really gotten a setup manual for the raid card. I do have the duplication software from Acronis.
Anyone to point me in the right direction would be a Saint!! Thanks In Advance

Hi Jonhas,
Server Administrator is a great way to manage your arrays, and you can use it to set up a separate array for your data. You are probably seeing the web certificate errors if you are using IE7, you can ignore this and continue to the login page. You can find the manual for server administrator here and the manual for the Cerc SATA 6 controller here. Once you have the new array created and then you delete the D partition off the original array you can expand the C: partition by using EXTPART. You can find instructions for this utility here.
