Only One HDD Detected After Reinstalling Drives
I have a Dell PowerEdge T150 server, which originally used RAID 0 with 3 HDDs. It was working fine until I removed all three HDDs and then reinstalled them. However, now only one HDD is detected, which is the one with the OS. The other two HDDs cannot be accessed. When I checked using OMSA, under Virtual Disks -> RAID 0, it only shows Physical Disk 0:0:2, but under Physical Disks on Controller PERC H755 Adapter, it shows Physical Disk 0:0:0 as "Ready," Physical Disk 0:0:1 as "Ready," and Physical Disk 0:0:2 as "Online." How can I get the other two HDDs to be detected again?
Thank You

Hello,
first question, do you have data backup? AS with a RAID 0 with 3 hdds you can access only if you have all hard drive inserted.
Now the situation is that disk 0 and 1 are not part of the virtual disk.
You can try to import foreign configuration if you have any

@DELL-Marco B It seems I cannot import the foreign configuration. Is there a manual way to make disk 0 and 1 part of the virtual disk again? I don't have a backup, but it's fine if I lose the data on disk 0 and 1, as long as the data on disk 2 and the OS are not lost. Thank you in advance for your response.

Sorry, I don’t understand what the initial configuration was. If there was a single virtual disk in RAID 0, the data is lost, including the operating system, because RAID 0 with 3 disks has no redundancy. Or did you have 3 volumes in RAID 0? In this case, the situation is different. Thank you for helping me understand this, thanks.

@DELL-Marco B
To clarify, I was using 3 separate volumes (C: 2TB, D: 2TB, E: 2TB) across 3 different HDDs. So, I believe it fits into the second scenario you mentioned with 3 volumes in RAID 0.
Thanks again for your help!

Hi,
Since you have OMSA access, can you verify if you have VD Foreign Configuration. I assume there will be none since you also mentioned both ID0 and ID1 is in Ready state. My confusion is ID2 is Online and your OS is accessible, hence ID2 is the C:. I would like to know are the drives connected to their respective slots?
If you do not have data back up, I suggest doing one before any further configuration process. Next is to create RAID0 with ID0 and another RAID0 with ID1. During the creation of RAID array, there is an option to initialize, do not use it, uncheck it. There is a chance you might be able to retrieve data on both D: and E: as you mentioned above.

@DELL-Joey C Hi, I have checked OMSA, and there is no Foreign Configuration available. Both ID0 and ID1 are indeed in the "Ready" state, and ID2 is "Online" and holds the OS (C:). All drives are connected to their original slots.
I will proceed with creating RAID 0 arrays for ID0 and ID1 as suggested, Thank you for your help and advice!

Hi,
Alright. Since the drives are in their respective slots, do create a RAID0 on ID0 to test the situation. If the data is accessible, that's a good start.
