Non-RAID Physical Disk Not Booting in Dell PowerEdge T320

Hello, Dell Community!

I have a Dell PowerEdge T320 server, and I was trying to boot my physical hard disk with Ubuntu Server in it, but it seems like the server isn't recognizing the device. RAID Controller Configuration Utility shows that the disk is a non-RAID device.

Is it related to the problem I'm facing right now? And if it is, how can I solve it? Should I convert the disk to a RAID disk? How can I do that?

Hello,

First make sure you have a valid backup when dealing with drives especially if you have data on them.

Was this working on this server and now it does not work?

If it was not on this server then what server was it in?

What controller was it used on?

Did you have a RAID0 virtual disk on the single hard drive?

I'll note Dell has not validated Ubuntu on the T320

This page list the validated OS's:
