New SSD SATA disks blinking green and amber
Hi. I have to replace two SAS disks on a Dell PowerEdge R640 server and I want to install two SSD SATA disks. After put them on the same slots where the old ones were installed, I was able to configure them on RAID-1 and install Windows on the server.
However, the two LED status indicators are blinking green and amber. The documentation says that this means "Predicted drive failure", but both SSD disks are new. What is wrong with the configuration?

Hi,
Predicted failures can be related to various factors. First please ensure you are using Dell-certified SSDs. Non-compatible SSDs may cause issues. You can check firmware up to date. you can try to run diagnostic test
Hope that helps!

Hi
Thank you for your answer. I follow the steps and I get an error with the disks. However, I went to the server's support page and I found a firmware update for the disks and after install it, the indicator becomes green :)
Now, I'm facing another problem, because I am trying to reinstall windows, but the installer is asking me for a missing driver, but I don't know where can I find it, because before solving the indicator problem, windows installer wasn't asking for any driver. I can't find it on intel's website so I don't know what else I can do

Jpcastroavila,
We would need more information to be able to accurately help. It sounds like it is looking for the driver to see the storage, but let's get some more details. Would you confirm if you are using a raid controller, and if so which one?
If connected to a raid controller, have you configured the drives into a Virtual Disk yet?
How are you trying to install, via the Lifecycle Controller, from OS media, etc?
Let us know and we can go from there.

Are you looking for a Controller Driver?
