Install kit for PERC H755 SAS Front on PowerEdge R760XA
Hello, we need to replace the non-RAID HBA 465i Controller Front on our PowerEdge R760XA with a PERC H755 SAS Front we have just purchased. The PERC came as a kit, including the battery but not the necessary cabling (and maybe other parts?). The current cabling does not match, does anyone know what we need to add to our order to fit the PERC controller to our server?
Thank you!

Datamars,
Would you look at page 98-104 here and then confirm with me what the existing cable configuration is, as well as which one you are wanting to go to? That way I can let you know accurately what part numbers are needed or not.
Let me know.

@DELL-Chris H Thank you for your quick reply!
As far as I can tell, we have the configuration described in "Table 71. Configuration 4: 8 x 2.5-inch SAS_SATA fPERC12" - page 104 in the document you linked.
So, we have CTRL_DST_PA1 and CTRL_DST_PB1 on the current storage controller going to SL11 and SL12 respectively on the motherboard, plus CTRL_SRC_SA1_PA1 going to the backplane.
The PERC H755 we purchased only has one DST and one SRC connector (CTRL_DST_PA1) and (CTRL_SRC_SB1) and they are similar but different from the ones on the current controller, so that the current cables don't fit.
Here are a couple pictures of the current and newly purchased controller for reference, I hope they help:
Please let me know if other pictures may help (ie. on the motherboard side).
Thank you and best regards

Part numbers for which components?
The new storage controller we want to install is a "PERC H755 SAS Front": Manufacturer part P4X7G | Dell part 405-AAXO.
The server is a PowerEdge R760XA, I can provide you the service tag if needed
thanks

Hello,
I think Martin means part number for the current cables.
Thanks

Datamars,
It looks like the cables needed would be part numbers YCD6W and V30VR.
Let me know if this helps.

Hello, thanks for the suggestion! We can't seem to find these part numbers in our online retailers' catalogs, do they have any other identification code that we might try?

Unfortunatly we don't, as I don't even see a cable kit for it yet. You can reach out to the Spare Parts department at 877-275-3355 though, and they will be able to assist you with it.
