Sachin88,

Unfortunatly I am not seeing the logs you posted, so you may want to try sharing them again. I would also start with verifying the R650 is up to date on BIOS, iDrac, Perc controller, etc, to include the drives.

RAIDPort4 is a logical RAID port, which is part of the Perc Controller on your R650. The error message suggests that there's an issue with this specific RAID port.

Here are some possible causes and steps to help you troubleshoot:

  1. Hardware issue : Check the RAID controller and cables for any physical damage or loose connections. Make sure the cables are securely connected to the correct ports.
  2. Disk failure : Since you have a RAID 1 configuration for the OS disk, if one of the disks in the mirror fails, the RAID controller will continue to function, but you may see error messages. Check the disk health and ensure that all disks in the RAID 1 configuration are functioning properly.
  3. Software issue : As I stated, ensure that your RAID controller firmware is up-to-date. You can check for updates in the Dell Support website or using the Dell OpenManage Server Administrator (OMSA) tool.
  4. SAN connectivity : Since you're using Software iSCSI for your SAN box, check the SAN connectivity and ensure that the iSCSI target is properly configured and connected.
  5. Log files : Check the system event logs (e.g., Event Viewer) for any related errors. Look for errors related to the RAID controller, disks, or iSCSI connections.
  6. RAID controller configuration : Double-check the RAID controller configuration to ensure that it's set up correctly and that the disks are properly allocated to the correct logical disks.
  7. System logs : Check the system logs (e.g., System Event Viewer) for any errors related to the RAID controller or disks.

You can also try the following:

  • Run the Dell RAID controller's built-in diagnostic tool (Dell Diagnostics) to test the RAID controller and disks.
  • Use the Windows built-in disk management tool (diskmgmt.msc) to check the disk status and configuration.
  • Try to access the SAN box and check the iSCSI configuration and connectivity.

If you're still unable to resolve the issue, feel free to provide more details about your setup, and I'll do my best to help you troubleshoot the issue.

Let me know if this helps.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

This issue we are observing on around ~10 hosts

RAID firmware is up-to date on all of the hosts, but seems drivers is not the latest one
